Find out more about the Station Square Farmers' Market

We talk to Ola Kuzior-Griggs of Farmers Fayres to find out more about the new market coming to Station Square.

Starting on Friday 1st September, a new Farmers' Market is coming Station Square, Cambridge. On the first Friday of every month, the pop-up market will feature a selection of stalls run by local farms, producers, artisans and makers, offering high-quality food, drink and crafts which have been handpicked from across the county of Cambridgeshire.

To find out more about the market coming soon to CB1, we spoke to Ola Kuzior-Griggs of Farmers Fayres, who is behind this market and a number of others around the Cambridgeshire area.

What’s your role in bringing the farmers’ market to CB1?

Having been in the catering industry since 2015, I started running a bakery stall at the Farmers Fayre markets in 2018. A great opportunity for me and the market arose last year, when I was offered the opportunity to take over the management of the markets. Since then, the rebranded farmers’ market offering has grown in terms of quality, popularity and diversity of stall holders – with the inclusion of arts and crafts stalls to complement the traditional food and produce stalls. The farmers’ market shares my key principles to both my personal and professional life: sustainability and organic food.

What can visitors expect from the market?

A changing selection of 8+ stalls each month at Station Square’s Farmers’ Market, all high quality and offering customers a different shopping experience. The Farmers Fayre family of stall holders all share the same ethos: passion for great produce and ensuring we do as much as possible to minimise our overall environmental impact.

On Friday 1 September the line-up of farmers’ market stalls will include doughnuts from Prestige Doughnuts, Cambridge-reared beef from CamCattle, locally grown herbs and vegetables by Sweetpea Market Garden, handmade crafts from ZozArts, aromatherapy treats from OnMyWiix, and a selection of plants and flowers from Mill Blossom Flowers.

Why does Station Square's location work for the Farmers’ Market?

It is a great location in an exciting part of the city, with plenty of space to browse the stalls or sit and enjoy the atmosphere. We can’t wait to welcome market visitors to the new location at CB1 – this will be our first outdoor setting and we are really excited about the opportunity to set up our market here and reach out to lots of new Cambridge customers.

Where does Farmers Fayres operate around Cambridgeshire?
